Group 12

Group 12 has had a great term 2. Arham, Charles, Crystal, Feven, Joseph, Navit and Zaraan have been involved in many different learning experiences and have continued to build their confidence across the school day.
A big focus this term has been developing communication, independence and social skills. Students have practiced sharing, taking turns, making choices, following classroom routines and working alongside their classmates during group activities, rotations and play.
Group 12 has also enjoyed taking part in specialist and whole-school activities, including Swimming, PMP, Music, Art and Cooking. These sessions have been a great way for students to try new experiences, practice skills in different areas of the school and engage with familiar staff and peers.
In the classroom, students have participated in a range of workstations and hands-on learning tasks. They have been working on using their schedules, beginning activities, staying with tasks and moving between activities with increasing confidence and support. It has been lovely to see students becoming more settled in routines and showing enjoyment in their learning.
This term, our classroom theme has been “Books and Characters.” Group 12 explored a range of stories through reading, songs, craft, sensory activities and play. One of our favourite stories was The Very Hungry Caterpillar, which allowed students to practice counting, matching, sequencing and creating their own caterpillars and butterflies through art and playdough.
We are very proud of the effort and progress Group 12 has shown throughout term 2. Thank you for your continued support this term.
Kind regards, Ronan, Mei, Anubha
