Group 13

Group 13 has had an outstanding term, demonstrating enthusiasm, perseverance, and teamwork across a wide range of learning experiences and school activities. The students should be incredibly proud of all they have achieved.

One of the highlights of the term has been our weekly gardening sessions. Students enthusiastically rolled up their sleeves to dig garden beds, prepare the soil, and plant a variety of plants and vegetables. They showed great responsibility and care while learning about the importance of looking after the environment.

During Reconciliation Week, students participated in a meaningful and reflective sensory experience. They proudly flew their individual Bunjil (eagle) artworks, which they had carefully created in Art, while listening to Balayuang (Boonwurrung Song) by First Nations artist James Henry. This was a wonderful opportunity for students to engage with and celebrate First Nations culture and perspectives.

Our weekly cooking sessions continued to be a favourite activity. Students worked collaboratively to prepare and cook a range of delicious recipes, developing their independence, communication skills, and confidence in the kitchen. It was wonderful to see everyone supporting one another and taking pride in their creations.

Students also continued to work hard during their weekly swimming sessions. They demonstrated determination and resilience as they further developed their confidence in the water and strengthened their swimming skills. It has been fantastic to see the progress each student has made throughout the term.

A particular highlight for many students was the exciting Bubble Incursion. Students were captivated as they explored and created a variety of different sized and shaped bubbles. The experience was filled with laughter and engagement, and it was a memorable event for everyone involved.

Congratulations to all of Group 13 on a brilliant term. Their positive attitudes, hard work, and willingness to participate in new experiences has been wonderful to see. We look forward to another exciting and successful term ahead!"
