Group 15

During Term 2, students have been actively engaged in a variety of learning experiences focused on developing independence, communication, and practical life skills across the classroom program.
A major focus this term has been on building everyday life skills. Students participated in hands-on activities such as making toast and preparing cereal, helping to develop independence and confidence in daily routines. We also explored gardening by planting and caring for seeds, learning about how plants grow and the importance of caring for our environment. In addition, students practised household skills including folding clothes and using pegs to hang washing, supporting fine motor development and independence in practical tasks.
In Literacy, students focused on independently choosing books of interest and engaging with a range of familiar texts. We explored identifying features within stories, including characters, settings, and events, while encouraging students to share their ideas and preferences about books they enjoy.
In Mathematics, students explored the features of 3D shapes through hands-on learning experiences. They investigated the properties of shapes, identified familiar 3D objects in their environment, and participated in building and construction activities to strengthen their understanding of shape and spatial awareness.
We are very proud of the progress students have made this term and appreciate your ongoing support.
Kind regards,
Brayden, Belinda and Elly
