3in6 film competition

Cannes Palm D’or comes to Kew!

The announcement of the winners and runners’ up of this year’s 3in6 film competition was held earlier this term to a jam- packed library. Students from year 7 to 12 were crammed into every seat they could find. Some were even seen to be hiding behind books just to hear the news and watch the films. They weren’t disappointed! The awards were presented by guest judges Frank Ferretti, Sue DeLeon and Kevin Whitney. A guest appearance was also made by Craig Metcher, one of the stars of the ‘clues’ films. There was screaming, yelling, applause and standing ovations! It was great to see students celebrate the work of their peers. This year’s clues were: FOMO (fear of missing out) and MYKI. Students had to make a film in one day where these two clues were seen. The quality of the films was very high and they keep improving each year. We hope this continues. Thank you to all the judges as well Huu Tran, Daryl Bennet and our principal, Clare Entwistle, who continues to support this wonderful event.

And of course, the students who make this day so AWESOME!
