International Student Garden

The International Student Garden started in 2016 by a group of enthusiastic international students with the kind guidance and support from Phillip, the school’s Maintenance Officer, and it is now in its fourth year. The activity has transformed the school landscape with beautiful  oriental plants and edible vegie garden beds. A huge “Thank You” goes to Phillip who not only patiently and passionately teaches the students basic gardening skills but also helps them develop their appreciation of the environment they are in and their pride about it.

Term 3 welcomes a new intake of international students in the ELC. International Student Captains, Vincent and Harry, and Alice in Year 11 wasted no time getting the new students to join in the activity. They put strings along the vegie garden beds as those plants are growing very rapidly with the arrival of spring.
