Instrumental Music

On Thursday June 15 we held our Semester 1 Music Concert. All of the performers played beautifully with a number of students making their debut performance. 

The night began with the Talbot Room Ensemble, followed by the Rookie Band, Rising Stars Band and the Healesville Primary School Ensemble all performing a few short pieces. The Rookies, Rising Stars and HPS Ensemble then merged together to perform a piece called ‘Shark Attack’ after having just one rehearsal together. 

We had two soloists on the night, Joseph Jacob on trombone and percussion teacher Josh Licht on the pipes, they both sounded amazing! 

This year’s VCE Ensemble made their debut and played some rock charts before ending the concert with the Legends Band performing four pieces.  

I would like to say a huge thank you to all involved, both staff and students, for the time and effort they all put in to make the concert so successful.
