Art and Technology

Technology and the Arts at Healesville High School is going from strength to strength.

The Year 7 yarn students have been crocheting a patchwork blanket with Ms Godfrey and our amazing art technician, Cheryl. The goal is to donate it to charity once it is complete.

The Year 8 woodwork students are finishing off their mobile phone speakers with Mr Darlison. Some of the students have started experimenting with different types of wood.

The Year 9 art students took inspiration from pop artists like Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein to create their own artworks that reference modern pop culture.

The Year 10 art students finished their mixed media sculptures by gaining inspiration and materials from natural materials and nature.

The Year 10 cooking students participated in a MasterChef challenge with Mrs Morley for their final assessment. They could access all the pantry items including dairy products and fresh herbs. They were able to order three additional ingredients. The results were professional and delicious.

The year 11 and 12 art making and exhibiting students have been working on their folios and studying for their exams with Mr Cross. I’m excited to see their final artworks!
