Worawa Reconciliation Sports Carnival

On Tuesday 30th May two teams of netballers attended the Reconciliation Sports Carnival at Worawa Aboriginal College. 

Teams from all over the state were welcomed with a smoking ceremony and a walk through the Dreaming Trail. Games began at 10:00am with teams playing 4 – 5 games over the course of the day. Between games the girls had their faces painted, competed in the longest kick competition, enjoyed a snag from the barbecue and were entertained by a DJ and a friendly dance-off. At the presentation ceremony Mia Erickson was awarded the netball MVP. Overall, an enjoyable fun filled day. Thanks to Kerry for organising us to attend and to Nella for helping out on the day.
