Performing Arts

There are so many opportunities in Performing Arts. We encourage all students to get involved!

Instrumental Music Information Evening

Date: Tuesday 12 February

Time: 7:00pm - 8:15pm

Location: Auditorium

We invite both parents and Year 7 students to attend this exciting event!

The instrumental Music Program at the College gives students the chance to learn one of many instruments and be part of the Year 7 Training Band.  The Middle Orchestra and String Ensemble will perform and Music tutors will be available to answer any questions about the range of instruments on offer.

The aim of the evening is to:

  • Provide an opportunity to gain an understanding of how the program works
  • Develop an understanding of the benefits of being involved with music at the College
  • Hear and see a range of instruments being performed by our Middle Orchestra and String Ensemble
  • Allow students and parents to make an informed choice of instrument

 Mary Poppins

The Senior Production this year is Mary Poppins  There has been much enthusiasm and interest for this production from the students.

Auditions have begun this week and will continue for the next two weeks. We congratulate all students for ‘taking a risk’ and auditioning for Mary Poppins, particularly our new Year 7 students.  Students who have missed the year level audition may still audition on Thursday 14 February.

Kilbreda Dance Company

Auditions for the very popular Kilbreda Dance Company commence next week from 11 February.  We ask that students keep an eye on the Daily Bulletin for details of audition days and times.  There will be a new competition troupe commencing this year.

Kilbreda Choirs

This year, students who love to sing, have the opportunity to join one of two Choirs.  Year 7 and 8 students can join Junior Choir on Wednesday lunchtime and Senior Choir continues on Tuesday at lunchtime. All students are welcome to join at any time.

We hope that Kilbreda students take advantage of the many opportunities on offer in Performing Arts this year.
