CHAMP Assembly - 2007
My name Zeake Zammit
I graduated from Cecil Hills High School in 2007
Since graduating from Cecil Hills High School in 2007, I didn’t follow the exact direction intended upon graduation. Straight after graduating, I commenced studying for a Diploma in Business majoring in Travel Tourism and Travel Computing Services. Overseas experiences led me to work in multiple industries, including Hospitality, where I worked at Cabramatta Leagues Club, in multiple roles during my time there.
During my employment at Cabramatta Leagues Club, I chose to commence further study where I was accepted to study a Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Western Sydney, Bankstown campus. Later, I explored employment as a customer service representative for a company called Supagas. This experience provided me with further opportunities, gaining experience in an internal sales role where I managed and supported a team of approximately eight sales representatives. Later, I explored further employment opportunities as a sales representative at United Realty Real Estate at Cecil Hills - in the very suburb where I spent most of my life growing up!
Every day, I write down one thing I value most. This led me to find my true calling which is helping others. I was able to gain employment as a Complex Support Worker for a company called Disability Services Australia, where I was employed for three years, providing support to individuals with disabilities and complex mental health, many of who had multiple experiences within the criminal justice system.
The experience gained at Disability Services Australia led me to my current employment. I decided to start my own business and now work as an NDIS Support Coordinator, where I sub-contract my work to a company called Wellspace Australia. Wellspace Australia is a large organisation, which is continually growing, with over 600 clients with disabilities and mental health diagnoses. Wellspace Australia provides work to over 60 support coordinators with whom they have partnered, including me. I truly believe this has been one of my biggest life achievements - I believe that nothing can beat finding your true calling! This has also provided me with many ongoing opportunities to continue learning and growing and to work with other individuals who continually challenge me to become a better version of myself.
I have been fortunate enough to be provided with opportunities within the disability and mental health sector and have utilised the knowledge and skills I have gained through my own life experiences. This is a space I am continually involved in and passionate about. I have presented to groups applying my personal life experiences to provide knowledge and to support others to gain further insight into ways to develop themselves to better manage their own personal experiences and to improve the quality of their lives.
I have some wonderful memories from Cecil Hills High School - the amazing friendships formed with other students, teachers and the amazing office staff, including Mrs Camilleri, who I have kept in contact with still to this day.

The main photo above, also in the Year 2007 when Zeake Zammit graduated from Year 12, was taken during one of our CHAMP Assemblies. You may recognise some of the staff and students in the photo. Can you recognise which current deputy principal at Cecil Hills High School is pictured in this photo?
