What's new in the Library
Maker Space
The Library has just added a Maker Space trolley to its resources!
The idea behind a maker space is to provide creative, hands-on ways to encourage students to collaborate, invent, design, and build their own projects. Students have easy access to craft items and can work by themselves, with their friends, or with Library staff who are always keen to join in.
The first challenge around the Maker Space was to construct the trolley itself which had been delivered in four flat-pack boxes without instructions! Accepting the challenge to assemble it were Daniel Rizzo (Year 11) Josh Ristevski (Year 12) and Ricky Al-Sabti (Year 12). Thank you to Mr Alfonsi, Mr Miller, Mr Becroft and Mr Chambour proved to be great site supervisors! We found the online assembly video a bit late…but it confirmed the crew had put it together perfectly. We look forward to it being well used in the Library.
