Artist in Residence
Matt "Mystery"
Students in the Year 8 Street Art Elective at Cecil Hills High School had the opportunity to meet a practicing Street Artist Matthew Peet, also known as “Mystery”.
Matthew is a Sydney-based graffiti artist, who works for The Street University, Liverpool. Street University is a youth development project created by the Ted Noffs Foundation which provides various community-based services for people aged 12-25 Their programs specialise in channeling young people away from personally destructive and anti-social behaviours to improved self-esteem, inter-communal co-operation, and social engagement. Matthew has been teaching students about the history of graffiti and lettering techniques. He will be a guest artist in residence at Cecil Hills High School during Term 1 and 2 and he will be collaborating with students in the making of a mural for our school.
