In our Special Education classes

Student learning

Students in Purple class SEP have created their own pinwheel using the colours of the colour wheel.  In their Maths class, they were required to cut out a square from a rectangle and then cut a triangle in order to make fan blades. The blades were bent over and glued onto a circle. A pin was inserted into the wheel with a piece of cork and a paper tube. The students were proud of their achievement.

Work Experience

On Monday, our first group of work experience students attended Packforce Industries where they learnt to unpack the contents of boxes, place the product in a tub and recycle the cardboard. Once the product was placed in the tub, it was sent to another section where co-workers packed them in bags with other products for the 2021 Royal Easter Show.

Our first round of workers were Joseph Camilleri, Cheyenne Cooper, Lionel Gauci,  Jeremy Le, Jahana Susi, and Ruby Wiegold. We have another group of students participating in work experience at Packforce on Thursdays and another group of students participating in work experience at Coles in Liverpool.

Birthday celebrations

This week,  we celebrated Theodore Tran's 18th Birthday. He was overwhelmed by the occasion!  It was a lovely celebration with fruit, sandwiches and hot cross buns.  Thank you to all the staff and students at Cecil Hills High School for helping to celebrate this special event.
