Payment of 2026 School Charges 

Thank you to the many families who have already finalised payment of the 2026 school charges and contributions, including to our Thrive Funds. 

Payments can still be made for all 2026 school charges; Common Program and Variable Program fees, camps and excursions, Music and Sports Programs as well as donations to the Thrive Fund and Other Contributions.  

To make a Payment via Compass: 

1. Access the Compass Portal 
2. Log in using your family Compass ID and password 
3. Select Payment Centre 

4. Follow the prompts to pay in full or choose one of the three installment options 

    

We couldn’t offer the programs and services we do without the continued support from family contributions. However, we understand the financial pressures some families are experiencing and we are here to support.

Thrive Funds

Each year in June we write to you, to ask to consider donating to our Thrive Funds as donations are tax deductible.  

Donations to the Thrive Fund support Northcote High students in three different ways. They allow us to: 

• Fund innovative student programs (INNOVATE); 
• Improve school spaces and resources (INSPIRE / BUILD) and; 

• Provide our students including those in need, with opportunities that would not otherwise be possible (EMPOWER) 

   

Each year we are overwhelmed with the number of families who generously make a donation to the various Funds. In 2025 we received $266,200 in donations and provided 39 families with financial support, to the value of $47,700.  

This year we are again on track to receive a similar donation total, with already receiving $135,000 (as of 30 April).  

Whilst we are very grateful to our families who are in a position to make a donation, we acknowledge that many of our families may not be able to due to the cost of living challenges faced.  

Given this, we wanted to write to families for two reasons:  

1. If your family is experiencing financial hardship, we may be able to help so please reach out. Our Empower Fund and some other funding may be available to help you with school-related costs. Please complete an application form or contact the school on (03) 9488 2300 to see how we can best support you 

2. If you are in a position click here to make a donation. We want you to know what a difference your donations make (and will continue to) in benefiting families in need, as well as improving the Northcote High buildings and grounds not otherwise funded by the Government. Donations to our Inspire, Build and Empower Funds are all tax deductible.
