Kristin Vanden Houte- Smit is one of Saltwater’s Year Four teachers, who has a passion for reading and writing. Her writing journey took off as a project to inspire her students and show them that they can achieve their dreams. Kristin has published two middle years/ young adult fantasy novels that encapsulate magic, mythical creatures, danger, and adventure. Recommended for ages 10+.

‘Bonesbridge Kiva and the Hellion Legacy’ is the first in the series. In the town of Emery, magic wielders are illegal.
