Welcome to Week 6!  

 

Our focus this week has been on our novel 'Matilda'. We have finished writing our narratives and are heading into writing a persuasive text. We have been focusing on rhetorical questions and language features, as well as paragraphs and punctuation. This week we will be watching the movie of Matilda so we can make connections that align to our topic of …...

In Maths, our focus is on time, hours, minutes and seconds. We will be looking at elapsed time, such as how long does it take to play cricket, make the bed, pour a drink or sleep. We will also be revising our previous topics in our daily reviews, such as place value and addition and subtraction. At home, you can practise quick recall of basic addition and subtraction facts.  

 

In Religion, we are finishing our unit Followers of Jesus and heading into Lent. As we enter the season of Lent, we are invited into a time of reflection, renewal, and deeper connection with God. Lent is not only about giving something up—it’s about making space for what truly matters.

We will be making our own Lenten promises over the next few weeks.
