Around Our School

Term 2 2024 | Casual Dress Day

The Term 2 Casual Dress Day was a great success. We were able to raise a total of $2071.80 for the Pancare Foundation through gold coin donations and bake sales.

The Pancare Foundation is committed towards improving the lives of people living with pancreatic and upper gastrointestinal cancers and their carers. Frankston High School has without a doubt contributed to those who are currently struggling with these "forgotten cancers".

A huge thank you to all the students and teachers who donated, the people who donated their time to bake food for the bake sale and to all the people who helped out throughout the day. The day showed that, together, this school can make a meaningful difference beyond just Frankston High School.

English Language Centre (ELC)

On Tuesday 18 June we held the graduation for our English Language Centre (ELC).  Nine students were able to participate in this important part of our curriculum in preparing our International students for their mainstream classes after six months of intensive study in English.

We are grateful for the support and encouragement of their teachers, Ms Caitlin Honeywell, Mr Heath Booth, Mr Dan Myers, Ms Libby Toovey and other support staff, Ms Sacha Fisher, Ms Marie Farrell and Ms MeiMei Ren.

Campus Principal, Mr Cam Heyes, Mrs Kelly Lin and myself were impressed with the ability of these students to learn English, adapt to the Australian way of life and make friends at our school.

Welcome to our Japanese Assistant

Frankston High School would like to warmly welcome our new Japanese assistant, Ms Chika Oshida. Chika will be working at Frankston High School for one year. She will predominately work with our VCE students to help them prepare for their VCE oral exams.

Chika has been studying Japanese linguistics and language education at university in Tokyo. We are all very excited to be working with Chika.
