MIDDLE School

Dear Parents/Carers and Students

Semester 1 Exams

Congratulations to all our students for successfully completing their Semester 1 exams. We are proud of the effort each one of you put into your studies. Results will be distributed soon via Compass, and we encourage everyone to reflect on their progress and set new goals for Semester 2.

Year 9 Morrisby Profiling

Our Year 9 students completed their Morrisby profiling this term. A follow-up individual interview will be held in the first few weeks of Term 3 with a qualified Morrisby Counsellor, that will help each student reflect on the results of the profile, also enabling student to use this information to support their Senior School course selections.

Student Attitudes to School Surveys

Thank you to all students who took part in the Student Attitudes to School Surveys. Your feedback is crucial in helping us understand your experiences and improve our school environment. We are committed to creating a positive and supportive atmosphere where every student can thrive.

A Big Thank You to Our Year Level Captains

A heartfelt thank you to our Year 9 and Year 10 captains and leaders for their outstanding leadership and dedication this term. Your efforts in organising events, supporting your peers, and representing the student body have made a significant impact. We appreciate all that you do!

Year 10 Work Experience

Good luck to our Year 10 students who will be embarking on their work experience next week! This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real-world experience and explore potential career interests. Make the most of this chance to learn and grow outside the classroom.

We look forward to hearing back from our cohort about their Work Experience and seeing pictures of them hard at work!

Students who have not arranged work placement for the end of term 2, will be expected to complete their work experience in the September school holidays.

Year 9 Discovery Week

This week, last week of Term 2, all Year 9 students will participate in the compulsory Discovery Week program.  The aim of Discovery Week is to give the students the opportunity to discover more about themselves, Frankston High School, society and the broader community.  As part of the Discovery Week program, students will attend a one-day city experience excursion and participate in a range of activities and workshops. Some of the guest speakers and organizations include Speak Share, Courage to Care, Elephant Education, Red Frogs, Pat Cronin Foundation and the Frankston Youth Bus.

Students with 100% attendance during Discovery Week will go in the draw to win a prize!

On the last day of term, Friday 28 June, we have a special celebration planned to include house competitions and complimentary lunch to end the term.

Uniform Expectations

I would like to remind all students of our uniform expectations. Wearing the correct uniform not only represents our school with pride but also ensures a cohesive and respectful learning environment.

All students are expected to comply with the Schools Uniform Policy, which can be found on the school website. This includes wearing the winter school uniform as it is intended to be worn with the white shirt to be worn and collars to be visible. No pyjama pants under the skirt, no jewelry, no excessive make-up and/or accessories are to be worn to school. Students who have a legitimate reason for being out of uniform must provide a parent/carer note to explain the reason to the coordinators in the morning before classes commence to collect a Uniform Pass.

If you have any questions about the uniform policy, please speak with a member of the Middle School Coordinators.

Have a wonderful break over the term 2 school holidays.
