School -based immunisation 

Year 10 students will be having their vaccinations in Week 9 this term, on Wednesday, 26 March. Year 7 vaccinations will be held in Term Three, on Thursday, 28 August. 

Consent (online or paper form) for your child to have their vaccination at school must be completed no later than Wednesday 19 March.  Please note the following information from the Department of Health, including the necessary steps to provide consent for your child to be vaccinated in the school-based immunisation program. 

  • Immunisation protects your child against vaccine-preventable diseases.
  • Parents, guardians and adolescents can consent for vaccinations via VaccinateWA 
  • If your child misses their vaccine at school, visit your immunisation provider (the vaccine is free, but consultation fees may apply).
  • From January 1, 2024 some Community Pharmacists may offer adolescent vaccines at no cost. Please check with your pharmacy. 

Year 10 students are offered:

Meningococcal ACWY (Men ACWY) vaccine: 1 dose

The Men ACWY vaccine protects against 4 strains of meningococcal disease.

Consent must be provided by a parent or guardian for their child to receive vaccinations at school. You are encouraged to provide consent online via VaccinateWA

If you’re not able to access the online system, you can print a copy of the school-based immunisation program consent form. https://www.healthywa.wa.gov.au/articles/a_e/adolescent-immunisation and copies of the form can also be collected from Reception. 

Consent must be completed by Wednesday, 19 March.
