The year has started with a strong sense of community among our senior students. From charity initiatives to sporting events, our Year 11s and 12s have set a fantastic tone for the months ahead.
One of the standout moments of this year so far was the Green for Growth Dress Up Day, an initiative led by Zara, Sophie, and Jade. This incredible event aimed to raise awareness and support for equal access to education, ensuring that every individual, no matter their background or circumstances, has the opportunity to learn and grow. It was inspiring to see the school come together in a sea of green, demonstrating our shared commitment to breaking down barriers to education. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this meaningful cause!
We also recently held our first set of parent-teacher interviews, marking a key milestone in the academic journey of our senior students. These conversations provided invaluable insights into each student's progress, goals, and areas for growth. As we navigate the year ahead, these discussions will help ensure that every student is supported in achieving their personal best.
Another major highlight was the Interhouse Swimming Carnival, a whole-school event filled with energy, competition, and House spirit. The much-anticipated Sync Swim brought creativity and teamwork to the forefront, with students putting on incredible performances. A special mention must go to our House Captains and Prefects, who did a fantastic job rallying their Houses, lifting school spirit, and ensuring that every student felt encouraged to participate. Their leadership and enthusiasm set a fantastic example for the rest of the school. For our Year 12s, this was just the first of many ‘lasts’ they will experience this year. It is up to them to embrace these moments, make the most of each event, and create the memories they wish to leave school with.
"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
– Ferris Bueller's Day Off
With such a strong start to the year, I have no doubt that our Year 11s and 12s will continue to make the most of every opportunity ahead.
