Carnival vibes

Tuesday’s Interhouse Swimming Carnival and Sync Swim performance had a carnival vibe like no other. The Guild and the Year 12s set the scene with their amazing dress ups and passionate House spirit which flowed onto the rest of the school. We danced, swum our hearts out and cheered with such enthusiasm making this carnival one of the best! Congratulations students, on your awesome participation and House camaraderie.

2025 was Gandhi’s year - as they took out the Sync Swim performance and the overall InterHouse Swimming Carnival shield. A huge congratulations to Ms Perejmibida and House Captain Rory Bingham and special mention to Ava Watters and Mackenzie Marshall for all their leadership. You dedicate a high amount of time to your House and your hard work has paid off! Lincoln also shone with their cheering and team cohesion taking out the Spirit Shield.

The individual swimming award winners will be announced this week in Junior and Senior Chapel.

Our ACC Swim Team

The following students excelled with their skills and tenacity in the pool and have been selected to represent St George’s Anglican Grammar School in our interschool team. It is an honour to represent your school and we have had great success in the pool since our inaugural year in 2017 where we started in I-Division and now our swimmers has elevated us to C-Division. This is a remarkable achievement from our swimming alumni.

ACC C-Div Competition will be at HBF Stadium, Tuesday, 25 March

Sports Prefect Jay Kapica says: …

The 2025 Interhouse Swimming Carnival was one of the best yet, with an incredible atmosphere, competitive races, and plenty of fun throughout the day. Year 12s brought the energy with their creative costumes, adding to the excitement and school spirit. From intense relay finishes to students cheering on their houses, the enthusiasm was unmatched. A huge thank you to everyone who participated, whether in the pool or from the sidelines, making it a day to remember. Well done to all our swimmers, and congratulations to the Gandhi!

Year 9 Mandela student Sebastian Kinnear did a great job as the official Dragon student photographer at the Interhouse Swimming Carnival. Thanks, Seb.

The ACC Championship Basketball Competition took place this week at Warwick Leisure Centre. We saw our Senior Boys and Girls compete in a one-day carnival.
