Reminders from the Office

• Please check Compass regularly for events, reminders, payments & consent and updates.

   

• School uniform - Its important students wear the correct school uniform. Wearing the school uniform helps promote a sense of pride, belonging, and consistency across our school community. If you require more uniform, please visit the PSW website.

• School times - It is mportant students arrive to school on time.

  If a student arrives after 9am, parents will need to sign in on the Compass kiosk in the office.

  9am School start

  9am - 11am Teaching and Learning time

  11am - 11:20am Recess (Snack is Eaten indoors) 

  11:20am - 1:20pm Teaching and Learning time

  1:20pm - 2:15pm Lunch (Eaten indoors)

  2:15pm - 3:15pm Teaching and Learning time

  3:15pm Dismissal (Last day Term 1, 2 & 3 - 2:15pm Finish) - (Term 4 - 1:15pm Finish)

   

• Afterschool arrangements - If you are unable to collect your child at 3:15pm please register your child with VillageOSHC. 

• Morning Tea & Lunches - Many children are bringing food to school that need cutlery. Please make sure you provide your child with cutlery as the school does not supply forks and spoons.

Time to enrol Prep 2027

It's time to enrol. If you have a child turning 5 by 30th April 2027.

Prep enrolments open on Monday 20th April 2026

All Victorian government primary schools follow the statewide Prep enrolment timeline. The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child at a Victorian government primary school.  

You can apply to enrol your child in Prep in 2027 from Monday 20 April 2026. 

What you need to do: 

1. Download the Prep enrolment information pack from Enrolling in Foundation (Prep). This pack includes guidance on the application process.  

    

2. Submit an enrolment application by Friday 31 July 2026.  

   *Doncaster Primary School uses the Department of Education’s secure digital enrolment system called VicStudents. This means you can submit your Prep application online and receive updates through the system.

   *Paper enrolment application forms are also available on request. 

    

3. You will be notified of the outcome of your application between Monday 3 August and Friday 14 August 2026.  
4. If you receive an enrolment offer, you should accept the offer by Friday 28 August 2026. 
5. Take part in school transition sessions during Term 4, 2026. 
6. Prepare your child to start Prep from Thursday 28 January 2027. 

Enrolment applications submitted after 31 July 2026 will be processed by Doncaster Primary School as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Enrolment Policy.
