Performing Arts

This term for Performing Arts we are focusing on Music.

All students have been focusing on beat and rhythm. Students have been using their body as percussion. In addition to this students have been experimenting with a range of instruments to create a beat and rhythm.

Anzac Day assembly

I am particularly proud of all the Doncaster PS students for demonstrating respect by sitting silently and remembering all those veterans who fought and sacrificed their lives for us at the Anzac assembly.

Lest we forget.

Special thanks to Amelia L in Prep E for sharing her great grandfathers special medal with the whole school.

Congratulations to the Choir for singing the Indigenous version of "I Am Australian" so beautifully.

Well done to all the school captains for their amazing assembly delivery to the whole school.

DPS Choir,Dance and Band

Well done to the Choir, Band and Dance group for continuing to commit to two lunch times per week for rehearsals.

The Band students are: Clara 5F piano/keyboard, Ruchen 6 violin, Alicia5H Cello, Cindy 4D, Zara4D vocals, Cindy 4D Vocals, and Amelia Wang 4D piano/keybboard (kindly loaned by Mr Wang)

Speacial thank you to Amelia W for lending her keyboard for band practise.

DRAMA Club in Level 5 every second Tuesday lunchtime

Level 5 students have auditioned for various parts for a drama show in Level 5 called Gol! Gold! Gold!

This ties in with the Level 5 theme and excursion to Sovereign Hill.

A very special thank you to Professor John Thangarajah for volunteering his time to coordinate and initiate the drama club every second lunchtime. Also thank you to Miss Sarah Bayliss for all her support and effort with the auditioning and rehearsal process.
