Day of farewells

Today we bid adieu to our visting Year 10 exchange students from Cathedral Grammar in Wangarratta, Victoria, who spoke to our Year 9s about their experiences. (Read more about their adventure further into this newsletter).

As Term One concludes, I would like to congratulate all our students on a positive start to the school year. Your hard work, dedication and positive attitude have not gone unnoticed, and I am incredibly proud of each and every one of you.

Special congratulations to our Year 9 students for their successful completion of the NAPLAN testing. Your focus and determination throughout this process was commendable, and I have no doubt that you have all done yourselves proud.

Our Year 9 and 10 students' participation in the NWAS One Day carnivals showed enthusiasm, sportsmanship and teamwork that was inspiring to see.

Winter uniforms will be required from the start of Term Two so please ensure that you are prepared and dressed appropriately for the colder weather. These uniforms need to be checked over the Easter Holiday period to ensure that they remain in a good order.

River Cruise tickets deadline

Time has almost run out to purchase a ticket for the Year 10 and 11 River Cruise.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Year 10s to dress up and dance the night away in their first social occasion for 2024. Departing from Barrack St Jetty on Friday April 19, students will need to purchase tickets before the end of term to secure their spot. They are selling fast so I encourage all students wanting to join this event to book a ticket today before they miss out.

Book here:

I hope all families relax, recharge, and spend quality time together over Easter and the holidays that follow. I look forward to welcoming you all back next term, ready and refreshed for another busy and successful term of learning.
