Just like that, Term One is complete! I would like to thank all the amazing Gandhi staff, students and parents for a great term for our House. We have had several successful events including the Gandhi Parent Sundowner, House Week, Swimming Carnival and the Charity Day event which was today.
What an incredibly fun and joyful way to finish Term One with the school completing the annual Colour Run. Thank you to all the staff and students involved and I hope everyone had an amazing time.
The amount of participation and involvement from Gandhi students in House events this term has been incredible and we should be very proud of how we have commenced the year.
As we enter the first holiday break for the year, I wish everyone a safe and fun school holiday period. Looking ahead to Term Two, the Interhouse Cross Country Carnival is our next whole school sporting event in which students can represent Gandhi House.
If students are feeling bored on the school holidays, a 3km practice run could be fun! Let’s keep up the great start to the year and continue on our way towards being House Cup Champions. Go Gandhi!

This week in Lincoln House, we celebrated the end of our term together with a movie pyjama party. Students were invited to change into comfy PJs, grab some popcorn and enjoy a movie together as we celebrated a term of hard work together as a House.
Speaking of hard work as a House, I would like to once again thank the Lincoln students who have represented the House in various activities this term. They have done so with great gusto and enormous house pride. From the Swimming Carnival and Sync Swim to House Week participants, the board committee and of course the upcoming Interhouse Performing Arts team, who are now mid-rehearsals.
Due to the efforts of our wonderful Lincoln students, we are currently sitting in first place in the House cup competition! This is awesome to see, and I look forward to the continued commitment of our Lincoln students as we gear up for interhouse next term.

What a fantastic term it has been. For Extended PCG yesterday, Mandela went to Wellington Square for a good-old classic sausage sizzle. Some students played soccer, some played on the many attractions at the park (picture above!), others relaxed in the shade. It was a good way to say thank you for all the hard work that Mandela students have put in.
We say farewell to Mrs Lim and thank her for her incredible work with PCG M2 and Mandela while Mrs de Witt was on long service leave. Mrs Lim fitted into the House with ease and will be missed, although we are excited to see Mrs de Witt return after her travels in China!
Congratulations to Finn Turner who was awarded the Mandela GOAT (Greatest of All Term) for Term One. Finn was nominated by his peers as someone who embodies the spirit of Mandela and always helps and supports others.
As we come to the end of the Term, I just again want to say a huge thank you to all students of Mandela for always having a go and for giving of their very best. Keep your eyes peeled for early next term when we announce the House points winner of their very best. Keep your eyes peeled for early next term when we announce the House points winner and please do bring all those tokens in from home if you find some during the course of the Easter holidays.
Have a fantastic Easter with your family and relaxing holiday. See you next term for the Interhouse Performing Arts Festival.
