This week our Year 7 students enjoyed their Lunch on the Roof with the Student Guild.

The wonderful Year 12 students provided an opportunity for the Year 7 cohort to head upstairs into the sunshine and have some fun with a game of friendly basketball, some relaxed conversations, and a much loved icy pole. The Student Guild introduced themselves and outlined their roles; and in orchestrating this opportunity, proved to be outstanding role models for ouryounger students. The 2024 Student Leaders have indeed been wonderful ambassadors for the School and I sincerely thank them for the work that they have done with the newest members of our St George’s Community.

Our Year 8 students are to be commended for the way in which they have approached Term One. They have engaged with the opportunities on offer and participated in high numbers in the Interhouse Swimming Carnival, House Week activities, NWAS carnivals, Frozen Jr rehearsals, Junior Dance company as well as co-curricular activities and Sounds of Sunset concert, to name but a few of the exciting events of Term One. They have taken their first steps towards becoming independent senior students by attending classes at CQU and have shown improvement in managing their belongings and locker. Well done to you all!

I wish to thank our Year 7 and 8 families for their ongoing support this term and I hope you all have a safe and restful Easter holiday break.
