Oakleigh Grammar is delighted to celebrate the remarkable success of twelve students who recently took part in the Certificate of Attainment in Greek (Πιστοποιητικό Ελληνομάθειας).
This prestigious qualification, officially recognised by the Greek State and the European Union, is issued by the Centre for the Greek Language in Thessaloniki, Greece, and is the only formal certification of proficiency in the Greek language.
This year, our students sat exams across multiple levels, from A1 to C1, and we are thrilled to announce that every single one of them passed with exceptional results. These achievements showcase their impressive language skills and their genuine dedication to preserving and celebrating their Greek heritage.
The Certificate of Attainment in Greek assesses a student’s reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills, offering internationally recognised accreditation. Beyond being a mark of academic achievement, it provides valuable opportunities for further education, career advancement, and formal recognition of bilingual abilities. Preparing for these examinations is a challenging process that demands commitment, discipline, and thorough study.
At Oakleigh Grammar, the Greek language and cultural heritage form an integral part of the school’s identity. This outstanding accomplishment reflects the tireless efforts of our students, the encouragement of their families, and the expertise and passion of our Greek Language teachers, who continuously inspire a love for Hellenic traditions and language.
The Oakleigh Grammar community congratulates all twelve students for representing the Greek language and culture with pride. Their accomplishments prove that language learning continues to flourish at our school. We look forward to seeing even more students take on the challenge of the Certificate of Attainment in future years.
