Digital Technology

Immersive Learning Through Technology Incursions
The semester began with a burst of activity as students engaged in two innovative and exciting technology incursions in one week. Our VCE Data Analytics students experienced the future of industry robotics with Robot 02, a 122-centimetre-tall humanoid robot. Guided through pre-set commands, students explored how robotics is applied in real-world contexts, deepening their understanding of automation and programming.
Meanwhile, Year 9 students in the Electronic Design and Interactive Media (EDIM) program took part in an immersive Virtual Reality incursion. Students were introduced to non-immersive, semi-immersive, and fully immersive VR technologies, gaining valuable insights into how interactive environments can support deeper learning, enhance creativity, and build practical digital skills.
In Year 7 Digital Technology, students showcased leadership and creativity in a project using Chrome Music Lab. A highlight was Zoe’s initiative in leading her peers through an engaging & interactive challenge that combined rhythm, rap, and digital music-making.
These learning opportunities not only enriched subject knowledge but also inspired students to apply problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration - skills that will serve them well in their future studies and careers in Computer Sciences and Applied Computing.
