Middle School

As we move into our second semester, it is a timely reminder for our students to continue to demonstrate our school values of HARK: Humility, Aspiration, Respect, and Kindness.
Humility reminds us that no matter how much we achieve, there is always more to learn. We celebrate our successes and acknowledge the contributions of others. Be humble, congratulate others and learn from our challenges.
Aspiration - aiming high and believing in our ability to achieve great things. In line with our school theme of ‘Aim High, Achieve More’, we encourage our students and staff to work towards their goals, make every minute of learning count and step outside of your comfort zone.
Respect means treating everyone with care and fairness. Listen, learn and share perspectives, cultures and experiences to build understanding and connection.
Kindness goes a long way. As Aesop put simply “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” Every kind word, gesture or action helps create a space where everyone feels valued.
As a community, we can work together to demonstrate these values each day to be the best we can be and bring out the best in others.

ICAS 2025
ICAS has been a long tradition at Oakleigh Grammar, providing academically capable students with the opportunity to challenge themselves in internationally recognised assessments. This year, 28 students from Years 5–10 took part, with ICAS Science sitting on 19 August and ICAS Mathematics on 26 August.
The ICAS experience is about more than results. It encourages curiosity, persistence, and higher-level thinking as students engage with challenging questions beyond the regular curriculum. We commend our students for stepping up to the challenge and showing such commitment to their learning.
Congratulations to all participants. Oakleigh Grammar is proud of your efforts in continuing this tradition of academic enrichment.
