Welcome BBQ 2025
This event took place on the evening of Friday 14 February this year. Over the course of two days, we adjusted our plans five times while trying to interpret the ever-changing weather reports. In the end, it turned out to be a beautiful evening, with a light shower arriving just in time for everyone to head home.
We broke records, serving over 600 sausages, 200 drinks, 200 bags of chips, and around 200 icy poles. We even lost count of how many times the popcorn machine was refilled! A special moment of the night was seeing our longest-serving P&F member, Kelly, cooking on the new vegetarian BBQ for its very first use.
A huge thank you to the school's music and PAC teams for keeping us entertained throughout the night. We are also incredibly grateful to all the parents and staff who contributed—whether by setting up, cooking, serving, cleaning or taking care of the little details that make this event so special.
They say it takes a village to raise a child—well, it takes a community to run an event.
Well done, everyone!
AGM
The HT P&F AGM was held on Wednesday 26 February, and we had an incredible turnout. Most of our year-level representatives attended, and it was fantastic to see so many new faces as well. The elections took place, and we now have 29 enthusiastic members on our Committee.
As life gets busier, a few members have decided to take a break this year. However, they will always be warmly welcomed back if their schedules allow. I want to sincerely thank them for their contributions over the past few years.
A special thank you goes to Julie and Chandi, our outgoing Secretary and Treasurer. These two have been an incredible support to our community, dedicating countless hours to behind-the-scenes work in roles that require a great deal of time and commitment. Thank you both for all your efforts!
The new HT P&F Executive for 2025 was also elected:

- Secretary – Kevin Parkyn
- Treasurer – Dave Dewan
We also outlined our plans for 2025 events and have begun looking ahead to new initiatives as we approach the school’s centennial. Exciting times ahead!
Hot Cross Bun Drive
We’ve partnered once again with Emerald Village Bakery to bring you the opportunity to enjoy some delicious Hot Cross Buns!
All funds raised from this drive will go towards a new sandpit and play equipment for our Junior School, helping to support our students while the big build gets underway.
