Timothy Goddard
Part-time Head Coach, HSAC
We are pleased to announce that Tim Goddard has transitioned into a part-time role as our new Head Coach at Huntingtower. Tim has been an integral part of the Huntingtower community since 2014 as a staff member and, prior to that, as a student. His deep connection to the school, combined with his extensive coaching experience, makes him the perfect fit to lead our aquatic programs.
Tim is a qualified coach with over 10 years of experience teaching swimming at all levels, from water discovery through to high-performance squads. His expertise extends beyond coaching, as he is also a qualified lifeguard with a comprehensive understanding of pool operations, safety, and maintenance. His dual skill set ensures that our swimming program is not only highly effective but also safe and well-managed.
In addition to his swimming qualifications, Tim is also a certified personal trainer, bringing a well-rounded approach to strength, conditioning and injury prevention. His background in personal training enables him to develop tailored programs that enhance swimmers' endurance, mobility and overall athletic performance. This expertise will be particularly beneficial in helping students build strength and technique in and out of the water, ensuring they reach their full potential.
Tim’s coaching philosophy is centered on skill development, confidence-building, and fostering a love for swimming. His ability to connect with students of all ages and skill levels allows him to develop individualised training programs that support both beginners and competitive swimmers alike. Having been a Huntingtower student himself, he understands the school’s values and is committed to fostering a supportive and high-achieving sporting environment.
We are eager to see Tim take our swimming program to new heights and we know that his passion, leadership and technical expertise will be a tremendous asset in this new role.
