Be Kind Day

Spreading Joy at Huntingtower
Huntingtower was filled with kindness and positivity as we celebrated Be Kind Day on Friday 28 February! Throughout Huntingtower's Random Acts of Kindness Week, staff and students embraced the spirit of giving by surprising each other with thoughtful gestures, big and small.
The Junior School had a blast with Kindness Bingo, while the Senior School embraced the spirit of kindness and community through a variety of engaging experiences. Highlights included a Cake Challenge, an epic Tug-of-War and inclusive lunchtime events that encouraged connection and camaraderie. Adding to the energy of the day, students proudly wore a splash of colour to symbolise kindness in action.
During school assemblies in both the Junior and Senior Schools, students also took the time to reflect on the importance of kindness, learning how small acts can have a big impact on those around them.
A heartfelt thank you to the Student Wellbeing Team for their incredible effort and planning, as well as to Jaynie Gorander and Vicki Close for their leadership and guidance in making the day such a success.
We also extend our appreciation to our Year Level Coordinators (YLCs) and Mentors, who incorporated meaningful discussions about what it truly means to be kind within their programs. Their dedication helped students understand the power of kindness and how to practice it in their daily lives.
Staff also joined in the celebration with a special morning tea, enjoying shared moments of appreciation and laughter while capturing great memories in our Be Kind photo setup—all while proudly wearing their Huntingtower Be Kind T-shirts.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part—your kindness made a difference! Let’s continue to make kindness the norm every day.
