Year 3
Our Year 3 students have been learning about how plants germinate and what they need to grow. We have started some interesting pea growth experiments. Check the windows out the front of the science room to check in on them!
Year 4
The Year 4’s have been learning about the anatomy of different parts of a plant. This week we studied the parts of a leaf under a microscope and drew a detailed diagram of a leaf.

Year 5
Students have been exploring plants and their adaptations to the environment around them. Looking at physical and internal features that help plants to survive extreme conditions. We will use this information in an upcoming project around animals and environmental design.

Year 6
Students have been learning about setting up a scientific experiment including independent, dependent and variable controls. The experiment involves planting pea seeds and measuring their growth each week.
