Year 5 and 6 Sculptures
Students have been exploring floral sculptures by Anastasia Fainberg. They analysed how the artist uses colour, materials, balance and composition to create eye-catching sculptural forms. Using these ideas as inspiration, students planned their own sculptures through sketches and design drawings. Students have now begun constructing their sculpture using wire, cellophane, beads and plasticine. They are looking forward to sharing their work when it is complete.

Year 3 and 4 Sculptures
Students have been viewing the works of Charlotte Love and discussing how she uses personification to turn everyday objects into interesting characters. They have been planning their own designs and practising modelling techniques using plasticine to experiment with shape, expression and detail. They are currently in the process of finishing their sculptures and mounting them inside painted wooden frames.

Art Club
Art Club students have been using their imagination and creativity to create artworks using autumn leaves found in the yard.

This fortnight, Grade 6 students Claire and Xiao Zhen also led a creative drawing activity where students imagined and designed futuristic cities. It was wonderful to see students sharing their ideas and showing leadership by supporting younger students throughout the activity.
