Going Green in Year 4!
Maths
Students have been jumping right into learning their multiplication and division facts by making correlations through ‘Fact Families’. By exploring the connection between multiplication and division, students are developing a stronger understanding of how numbers work together. We have been learning different strategies that help us solve tricky division problems.
Additionally, Year 4 have been working away on their times tables through the app ‘Timestable Rockstars’. It is excellent to see how some students have ‘Gone Green’ meaning they are answering all their times tables in under 4 seconds! How incredible!
Ancient Egypt
By Addy
Our Ancient Egypt unit has come to an end with students wrapping up their knowledge by making their names in Hieroglyphics. Students have learned so much from the past few weeks from mummification and daily life.
“We learned about hieroglyphics which is a type of Ancient Egypt writing. We also looked at the process of mummification. My favourite part was learning how to write in hieroglyphics because it is now the second writing language I have done in my life!” -
Assembly Fun
Well done to our Grade 4 students who received a Rise Award at Assembly on Friday.
We also want to thank Harvey who bravely got up and shared his presentation on Circadian Rhythm. What a fantastic presentation! If you would like to watch the video here it is attached:

“My video is teaching people about how the Circadian Rhythm works. I made the video for the Australian Museums Eureka Prize. It was pretty fun to make but it took about 4 days.” -
