Health & Physical Education Department Report 

Year 7 and 9 Dance  

This term, our Year 7 and 9 PE students have been completing their Dance Unit, and it has certainly been a fun and at times very entertaining experience!   

Even some of our most unlikely movers and groovers have stepped outside their comfort zones to join in with Just Dance, the iconic Nutbush, and the ever-popular Waka Waka. 

It has been fantastic to see students embracing the opportunity to be active, work together, and most importantly, have a laugh along the way.  

Students are now working in groups to choreograph and perform their own dance routine.  

While the PE staff may be just a little tired of hearing the song on repeat, we have been incredibly impressed by the creativity, teamwork and confidence our students have shown throughout the process.   

Many of the routines have featured some very enthusiastic High School Musical-style choreography. Although we've tried our best to encourage the return of classics like the lawnmower and the sprinkler, they are yet to make an appearance!  

We can't wait to see the final performances and celebrate the effort, creativity and courage shown by all of our students.
