Passtab: Our New Sign-In System

We are excited to share an upcoming enhancement to our school front office operations. Starting mid term 4, our school will be transitioning from our current sign-in system (Sine) to Passtab, a modern, digital visitor management platform designed specifically for schools.

Why Are We Changing Systems?

As part of our continuous commitment to school security, child safety, and operational efficiency, we regularly review our administrative processes. As our previous contract concludes, switching to Passtab allows us to implement a more integrated, user-friendly, and secure sign-in solution at reception.

• Enhanced Child Safety & Automated Compliance: Passtab automatically validates Working With Children Checks (WWCC) and Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration cards in real-time, ensuring strict regulatory compliance across all campus visitors, volunteers, and contractors.
• Faster Sign-In for Parents & Visitors: The iPad touchscreen interface is clean and intuitive. Frequent visitors and volunteers can utilize short QuickPINs or personalized QR codes to sign in and out within seconds.
• Pre-Arrival Online Inductions: Volunteers, contractors, and event helpers can complete required safety and compliance inductions online prior to arriving on campus, significantly reducing wait times at the front reception counter.
• Streamlined Student Arrivals & Departures: Late arrivals and early student departures will be accurately logged at the front kiosk, giving staff instant visibility of student movements.
• Improved Emergency Response Management: In the event of a fire drill or emergency evacuation, Passtab provides administrators with instant, real-time digital logs of all students, staff, contractors, and visitors currently on-site.
• Data Security & Privacy Compliance: Passtab has qualified for the Safer Technologies 4 Schools (ST4S) badge program, meeting rigorous security and privacy standards to protect our community's personal data.

The Situation Now

We are currently using Passtab in its trial phase. Our front office staff are learning to use the system; troubleshooting as they go! During this phase, we are also constructing all of the background information to ensure the system is fully functional when going live.

What You Need to Know on Your Next Visit

1. Front Office iPad: When arriving at the front reception, you will see our new Passtab iPads ready for visitor check-in. Sine, our current system, is still available for parents to use.

2. Friendly Assistance Available: Our front desk administrative team will be on hand to assist you through the new sign-in screens during this time.

   Bring Your WWCC/VIT: If you are visiting to volunteer or assist with school activities, please remember to bring your Working With Children Check card so we can ensure your profile details are up to date.
