Elevate Program

At Lakeside College, supporting our students’ social and emotional growth is just as vital as nurturing their academic success, which is why we are thrilled to highlight the Elevate Program.
Elevate is a structured, small-group Pro Social Skill Program designed to help students build essential prosocial skills and expand their emotional vocabulary. Through interactive, age-appropriate activities, the initiative guides children in understanding their feelings while forming meaningful, positive connections with their peers.
Working alongside Mr Webster throughout the delivery of the program, students explore the fundamental building blocks of healthy interpersonal relationships, focusing on empathy, kindness, cooperation, conflict resolution, and active listening. Together, they practise seeing the world from diverse perspectives, incorporating daily acts of kindness, and discovering the value of working collaboratively to share in collective success.
Furthermore, Elevate equips students with practical, constructive strategies to navigate everyday disagreements calmly, while active listening exercises strengthen their communication skills to build respectful, lasting friendships.
Research consistently demonstrates that mastering these skills boosts self-confidence, improves emotional regulation, and fosters a strong sense of belonging within the school environment. A wonderful example of this progress can be seen in the accompanying photo, which proudly showcases the students who have now officially completed their learning in the Elevate Program. Having put these core skills into practice, these dedicated learners are already enriching our classrooms and playgrounds with their newfound empathy, confidence, and positive leadership.
Many Blessings
