PTFA - Highlight

The Lakeside College PTFA has been an important part of our community since the very first year of the College, but we know we don’t talk about their work nearly enough!
This small, dedicated group of long‑serving parents has quietly supported countless College projects, events, and improvements that benefit every student. The PTFA Committee is open to all parents at our school and collaborates directly with the Executive Team and teachers.
The PTFA helps run Mother’s Day and Father’s Day stalls, lunch‑order days, Bunnings sausage sizzles, fundraising events, and the second‑hand uniform shop. They’ve raised money for playgrounds, outdoor seating, library furnishings, board games for winter, grounds improvements, and even a defibrillator. Their impact is everywhere.
New Committee members and casual volunteers are welcome!
You don’t need to be a Committee member to get involved. Casual volunteers are always needed, especially for food days and stall events. All you need is to be a parent of a Lakeside student and have an up‑to‑date WWCC.
For those interested in joining formally, it’s a great way to meet people and be more involved in your child’s school experience. To learn more or express interest, contact: secretaryptfa@lakeside.vic.edu.au or mark.burford@lakeside.vic.edu.au
More parents involved means more opportunities, more events, and more support for our students.!
