Heathmont College held its inaugural College Athletics August 29th at Proclamation Park. It was great to be back after the last few COVID years. The day started off without a hitch and all students were up and running and breaking records.

We managed to get through most of the events before the rain hit hard and decided to rain the end of the day out.

The day didn’t dampen the spirits of the new record holders and the many students that qualified for Mullum Athletics.

Mullum Athletics was held on Thursday 8th September at Knox Athletics Track Bunjil Way. Heathmont was very successful taking away the district title once again making it four in a row.

Heathmont won an incredible 54 events, we also had 6 age group champions

Year 8 Sport

Friday 2nd September year 8’s went out on their sport. For a lot of these students it was the first time out on a sport day and it was great to have them all back. We had Basketball and Table Tennis go out.

All the students enjoyed their day out. Both basketball A teams made the finals and both were nail biting finishes unfortunately though the teams didn’t come away with the wins.
