Mathematics Games Day

Several students from grades 7 to 9 recently took part in a Math Games Day at Balwyn High School hosted Mathematical Association of Victoria (MAV). During the event, they engaged in a mix of math games that involved problem-solving as part of a team. They collaborated with their fellow schoolmates or competed against students from other schools. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience, finding it both entertaining and intellectually stimulating.

The day from a student’s point of view:

“We went to Balwyn High School for a Maths excursion on the 18th of August, and it was a blast. We played with a lot of random cool people in maths games and other games. Playing with the random school kids was my personal favourite part of the day.”
