Raising Awareness Fundraising Day

On Tuesday 10th October the Year 11 and 12 VCE VM students have organised several different activities to raise awareness about key issues identified in our community. Each student then designed a community project based on their areas of research and have led or are leading events and activities to raise awareness about their chosen issues.

  • Benson, Jack and Michael researched sustainability looking at areas both within the College and surrounding, then designed posters to raise awareness about issues of rubbish and littering.
  • Brynna and Christina researched racism and designed activities and resources to teach students about issues of racism within the community.
  • Neirus researched student’s physical health and wellbeing and is running a Teacher’s vs Students Dodgeball.
  • Ella looked into why pink female products cost more.
  • Rose designed a lesson to teach Primary School Students about Gender and Sexuality. She will teach this lesson later next term.
  • Connor, Zac and Jesse researched student’s mental health and wellbeing and have organised for a tree to be donated to the College.

On Tuesday our “Raising Awareness event” we will be leading the following activities:

  • displaying posters around the College
