Allan T YEAR 7

Why did you choose the books?

Allan became interested in reading the Harry Potter series after watching the movies. This year, he embarked on his Harry Potter reading journey. At home, Allan has the movies in Vietnamese. Many years ago, when his mum arrived in Australia from Vietnam, she brought those along with her.

Allan is currently on the sixth book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The best thing he enjoys about the books are that they contain parts that were not included in the movies.

Archie G Year 8

What are you reading?

I am reading The Bone Sparrow for Year 8 English.

What do you think of it so far?

It’s good, intriguing. There is lot of switching between two characters. It gives insight to detention centres. I haven’t finished it yet, but its good so far.

Do you think it’s a good book to read for your English class?

It’s easy to read, enjoyable. There are not too many tricky words, and you can understand the gist of it pretty quick.
