From Garden to Plate

The Kindergarten children at Level 5 are starting to embrace exciting cooking experiences in their Kindergarten programs using fresh produce from their new garden beds. The children harvested their very own lettuce and basil in Term 1, which became the stars of some tasty vegetarian dishes such as Vietnamese Rice Paper Rolls and homemade Pizza. This gave the children the opportunity to learn about healthy eating, sustainability, different cultures, and the joy of creating meals from scratch alongside their friends. 

As the colder season approaches, the children will continue to investigate which vegetables can thrive in cooler weather, deepening their connection to nature and the food that they eat.

Enrolment registrations are now open for 2026! Molesworth Street Kindergarten is managed by Northern Schools Early Years and offers free 15-hour Kindergarten programs for 3 and 4-year-old children.
