We have been learning about living & non-living things. We discovered that some things can be 'once living' like wood, leaves and even chicken! We drew pictures of things that are living & non-living.

Grade 1

We have been learning about the different body parts of humans & animals. Here are some of our labelled diagrams of animals.

Grade 2

We have been learning how to classify animals into different groups. We learnt lots of new words like bipedal, invertebrate, vertebrate, warm blooded and cold blooded. Next time you see a spider you can call it an arachnid that is an invertebrate!!

Grade 3

We have been learning about life cycles. We have been digging deeper into the life cycle of plants and investigating exactly how a plant grows from a seed and what it needs to survive.

Grade 4

We have been studying the structure of leaves. Using microscopes to understand the adaptations that different leaves have.

Grade 5

We have been learning all about plant adaptations, from roots systems to plant defences. We have also been looking at the stomata of plants and understanding their role in photosynthesis.

Grade 6

Its planting week in grade 6, after research students have picked a seed to grow and nurture over the coming weeks!
