International Students Program

We started 2025 with 17 new students, taking our international student group to 60 in total. We welcomed students from China, Brazil, Chile and Iran and what a great way to introduce them to life at Melbourne Girls’ College with a joint New Year Celebration with the Chinese Language Domain. 

Our celebrations did not stop there as we invited our international students to a Welcome Party. Our aim is to ensure we build a supportive and inclusive community.  This tradition is designed to welcome our global family and to celebrate cultures, friendships, and new beginnings.  

We greeted students with beautifully designed cupcakes and other snacks. It was an obvious hit as you can see from our photos. We chatted and planned for future celebrations and activities that will bring us together. 

Chinese Club 

A group of international students from China have started a lunchtime session for students wanting to improve their Chinese. They will run activities, games and engage in conversational Chinese so if you are studying Chinese as a second language at MGC and want to continue to improve and practise they would love to see you. Please see us in the International Office if you would like more information.
