VCE Season of Excellence 2025 – Art Making and Exhibiting, and Media
Congratulations to Piper Day, Claudia Bellsmith, and Thicia Acquisto on their selection for the prestigious VCE Season of Excellence 2025.
The VCE Season of Excellence is a five-month annual festival celebrating outstanding work from senior secondary students across Victoria. This festival showcases exceptional projects from VCE and VET students in design, technology, research, multimedia, and the cinematic, visual, and performing arts.
Piper Day’s layered and paper-cut photographic artwork, Gwai Mui, has been selected for Top Arts. Her work will be exhibited at the Ian Potter Centre, NGV Australia, at Federation Square, opening on 14 March 2025. Find out more
Claudia Bellsmith has been selected for Top Designs for her children's picture book, Sid and the Unexpected Guests. This exhibition will open at the Melbourne Museum on Saturday 29 March 2025. Find out more
Thicia Acquisto’s film, Abu Abu, has been selected for Top Screen. Her film will be screened at ACMI, Federation Square, on 21 March 2025. Find out more
