From Mrs Tina Campbell
Mr Bochrinis has advised me this week that he has sadly decided to step away from the classroom at the end of the 2024 academic school year to commit himself more fully to his own business venture, ideas and aspirations.
Mr B, as he is more affectionally known by all of us here at St George’s, will be commencing a Leadership Consultancy Business from the start of 2025 and whilst we will undoubtedly miss him in and around St George’s, we hope to harness this exciting entrepreneurial spirit by having him involved with some of our students looking at the demands of running your own business as well as building the leadership capacity of our 2025 Student Guild.
Mr Bochrinis joined us as Head of Mathematics in 2021 and moved into the Head of Curriculum role from the beginning of 2022. The last three years has seen him transform the role within the Teaching and Learning domain with the construction of a new timetable, the development of multiple pathways for our Year 11 and 12 students and the commencement of new and inspired electives. St George’s staff and students alike have benefitted enormously from his incredible academic mind, his absolute passion for teaching, his love of all things mathematics, his ability to think creatively and his great sense of humour and fun.
We will be advertising for a new Dean of Teaching and Learning shortly to replace Mr Bochrinis and will farewell him more appropriately at the end of the school year.
To step away from a school, position and the connection with students and staff that he loves is both brave and courageous. We sincerely wish Mr Bochrinis all the very best in his business ventures - I am very confident that our paths will continue to cross.
