Year 7 & 8

Impressive show of support

Our Year 7 and 8 students returned to school last Tuesday enthusiastic about the semester and with tales about their travel adventures and time well spent with family and friends.

To ensure ongoing progress during Semester Two, students should spend some time reflecting on their Semester One report and then set new academic goals to work towards. Discussion with teachers during the upcoming Year 7 Parent Teacher Interviews will provide the perfect opportunity to discuss ways to ensure students achieve these goals by the end of the year.

I am always impressed by the way in which our students include and support new peers. This is something that is very special to St George’s.

This term we have welcomed three new Year 7 students (Luka, Zain and Grady) and two new Year 8 students (Amelie and Patrick) to the St George’s community. We hope they have enjoyed their time with us so far.

Congratulations must go to the many Years 7 and 8 students who were involved in the Frozen Jr school production. Whether they were part of the backstage crew, assisting with sound, lighting, ushering audience members or were performing on centre stage, I could not be prouder of their efforts and the way in which they embraced the opportunity to be involved in such a community building event – congratulations and well done!
