Gandhi House

We have kicked off Term 3 on a high note and entered straight into the Interhouse Athletics Carnival at the State Athletics Centre this week.. Gandhi has historically been strong at athletics and our record continues with an incredible show of talent, participation and House Spirit at Wednesday’s carnival.

These days are always a great show of community and friendship, and we were blessed with blasts of lovely weather to showcase the many skills of our students in between the showers.

Thank you to Azeva, our incredible Gandhi House Captain, who led the House with immense love and passion in the lead up to, and day of, the carnival. Every contest was close, and I’d like to thank Mandela and Lincoln for a great competition throughout the day.

Stay tuned to hear the results and celebrate the individual Gandhi winners. Go Gandhi!

Lincoln House

Memories of Lincoln Charity Day at the Supreme Court Gardens on the last day of Term 2 are still fresh in my mind - what a wonderful event it was not just for Lincoln but for the whole school.

After the three-week break, the start of Term 2 has begun just as well with the fantastic participation of our House in the Interhouse Athletics Carnival.

Just a few days earlier was the school production of Frozen Jr. A big shout out to all Lincoln students who were involved on stage and behind the scenes.

Here's to a fantastic term ahead for everyone in Lincoln House and beyond!

Mandela House

We are halfway through the year already - how time has flown.

This term we have much in store for Mandela House. Next Thursday, 1 August is the Mandela Parent Sundowner - a fantastic time to meet the PCG tutors and staff of Mandela. If you have signed up, thank you - we look forward to seeing you there in wearing some green.

It was fantastic to see so much participation at the Interhouse Athletics Carnival this week. As always, students of Mandela tried their best, had a go and got involved. We had incredible participation and House Spirit and look forward to hearing the results next week.

Last week during Extended PCG we held our Mandela Amazing Race competitions, where students race around the city to find clues to win the race. Well done to M3, Mr Kerrigan’s PCG who won it in record time and won some goodies to eat for their PCG!

For students thinking of signing up the Mandela Charity Day Talent Show at the end of term, we have our last week of auditions next week. If any of your children are thinking about entering, I encourage them to have a go. It is a great way to showcase the amazing talents of students at St George’s.
